Reliable and valid tests of aerobic capacity such as the Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test Level 1.
Lower body power and reactive strength with the use of Output.
Maximal strength and muscular endurance testing.
Movement screening such as the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and the Sprint-Mechanics Assessment Score (S-MAS).
% of predicted adult height (relevant to youth athletes to deliver structured and appropriate training, including for the use of bio-banded games).
Other measurements, as indicated, include weight, height, blood pressure and resting heart rate.
Together, the chosen battery of measurements help to develop an athletic profile that highlights potential strengths and weaknesses and establishes a baseline of current physical fitness that can guide future training. Results are also interpreted with reference to peers (normative data as available). Register here as an individual or email darragh@oopmovement.ie for sports team enquiries.
